The Rules of Work Are Being Rewritten. What is Your Plan?
The rapid acceleration of Ai, organizational restructuring, and shifting workforce dynamics have introduced unprecedented ambiguity to modern careers.
If you are experiencing:
-
Career Anxiety: Uncertainty around how Ai-driven shifts impact your role, team, or industry standing over the next 12–24 months.
-
Transition Friction: The urgent desire to pivot into a new role, or the reality of facing immediate organizational downsizing.
-
Reactive Leadership: Spending energy reacting to market shifts rather than proactively shaping your next professional chapter.
You do not need another generic webinar on industry trends. You need a structured workspace to regain control, assess your personal alignment, and initiate your strategic plan.
Take the PAD Level 1 Diagnostic
“Learning is effortful, difficult, and oftentimes uncomfortable. But it’s the friction that makes learning deep and transferable into the future.”
— Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath, Neuroscientist – U.S. Senate Testimony, January 2026
In January 2026, neuroscientist Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation that Generation Z may be the first modern generation to show declining cognitive performance compared to their parents – despite spending more time in formal education than any generation before them. His diagnosis: a structural mismatch between how digital platforms are designed and how human beings actually learn.
His conclusion applies directly to personal and leadership development: the solution is not more content. It is aligning learning experiences with how human beings actually grow – through deliberate practice, honest reflection, and purposeful conversation in community. We need to purposefully talk with one another!
The Development Collaborative is that alignment, and it starts with The Personal Alignment Workshop.
Introducing The Personal Alignment Workshop
What Makes This Different?
This is not a passive presentation. It's a hands-on, strategic working session. Together, you will step out of day-to-day noise to diagnose your current standing and lay the groundwork for proactive execution of thoughtful roadmap you create.
What You Will Experience in 3 Hours:
-
Clarify Where You Are & What You Have: Evaluate your levels of clarity and confidence across the 10 Dimensions of the Personal Assessment & Development (PAD) Framework.
-
Practice Talking About Yourself: Using loosely structured conversation prompts mirroring real-life interactions, listen to yourself talk about your skills, experiences, intentions, etc.
-
Practice Staying in Compassionate Curiosity: Actively listen to others without judgement or frustration, but with kindness and curiosity through what we call OQIs (see below).
-
Immediate Clarity & Elevated Confidence: Not knowing sucks. Having a thoughtful plan is better. Having a process and partners to help execute the plan is event better.  This is what this experience will do: put you on the path to creating the plan and building community and resources to make it happen.
OQIs – Observations, Questions, and Ideas
The operating stance of the Collaborative is Compassionate Curiosity – a deliberate orientation toward what is right and leverageable in every situation, while remaining attentive to what is contrary to one's values or logic. This is not constructive criticism repackaged. It is a fundamentally different relational posture: generous, curious, grounded, and genuinely interested in another person's growth.
Compassionate Curiosity
Rather than feedback, members of the Collaborative exchange OQIs. Observations are what someone is noticing or witnessing – stated without judgment or interpretation. Questions are expressions of genuine curiosity, grounded in a growth mindset and affirmative inquiry rather than evaluation. Ideas are possible ways forward – offered openly, without attachment, as invitations rather than directives. This distinction matters. OQIs create a conversational environment where honesty feels safe and growth feels natural.
The Opportunity Realization Process (ORP)
At the heart of the Development Collaborative's interactions is a structured methodology called the Opportunity Realization Process (ORP). A member presents a Problem or Opportunity Statement. Peers ask clarifying questions – not to evaluate or advise, but to genuinely understand.
Â
The member then offers a Restatement – often the most clarifying moment of all, because the right questions change how we see our own situation. Peers then offer ideas: not recommendations or prescriptions, but possible ways forward, held lightly and offered generously. The member closes with a commitment to themselves and to the group.
Â
This is what more than three decades of framework development and facilitation experience makes possible. It is the work that no Ai coaching tool, content library, or online learning can fully replicate.
The PAD Framework Â
A holistic way to better understand yourself, communicate your needs, and plan your best next steps.
HOW TO LEVERAGE Ai
Â
Ai coaching can be helpful.
Here's what helps make it so.
Â
Ai coaching tools are a genuine and growing part of the personal and professional development. Many aspects of it are incredible. You can now learn about emerging job families in a certain geography, get coached on resume building, interview practice, and much more. That said, most untrained Ai technologies are very encouraging without having broader context, particularly about you.
This is where the Personal Alignment Workshop and, should you so choose, the Development Collaborative come in. Your insights and ideas that emerge through your intentional work, self-reflection, and ongoing iteration with peers refines both the questions you ask Ai as well as how you interpret what comes back. You are more grounded and in a position to say "No, I don't need to go down that path at this time." and more apt to say "Yes, tell me more about that." as that aligned with your intentions, skills, the contributions you'd like to make, etc.
To reenforce the importance of such grounding, a recent Microsoft study found that Ai use was associated with worse judgment and critical thinking skills – what researchers call cognitive offloading, where reliance on digital tools reduces the mental effort required and, over time, the critical thinking capacity itself.
In the end, the Personal Alignment Workshop and what can come after for you will help you use Ai in efficient and effective ways, ways that serve you, first and foremost, and not the machine.
